magiccard odisha gov in:-Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched Nabin Odisha Magic Card, a points-based smart card which will provide financial aid, travel discounts and online learning access to students as well as provide personality and skill development and help them get jobs.
Launching the new initiative on the birth anniversary of former chief minister and his father Biju Patnaik from Malkangiri through virtual mode, Naveen said youths are the wealth of the nation and the objective is to help them realise their true potential to contribute towards the society and nation.

Nabin Odisha Magic Card is a revolutionary step in the endeavour towards youth empowerment. This will go a long way to help the students in personality development, reduce financial burden on parents and create opportunities for career progression and employment,” he said.UG and PG students across the state can register themselves on www.magiccard.odisha.gov.in to avail the card. Distribution of the cards will start from August 15, read a statement from the CMO.

Objectives of Nabin Odisha Magic Card
Students will receive Nua-O Magic Smart Cards by August. Students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programmes in state universities, government- and non-government-aided colleges, including Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education department, would be eligible for the Nua-O scholarship. The students would not be eligible for the scholarship if their parents are either permanent government employees or income taxpayers.

- It is anticipated that the state government’s Nua-O scholarship programme will assist around 4.5 lakh undergraduate students and 32,000 postgraduate students.
- Not all students shall be able to get Nua-O Magic Smart Cards. Only selected students shall be able to access it. Nua-O Magic Smart Cards shall be provided to students in 15th August.
